Health disparities continue to impact Black communities across Northeast Ohio, creating barriers to care and limiting access to trusted health information. Our healthcare partner sought to increase health awareness, improve health literacy, and motivate preventive care engagement among Black adults through culturally relevant outreach.
Many Black residents face obstacles to accessing reliable healthcare information and preventive services. To create meaningful change, our partner needed a strategy that would build trust, educate audiences on important health issues, and encourage individuals to take action by scheduling appointments with healthcare providers.
We developed and executed Black Health 365, a comprehensive community health education initiative powered by trusted Urban One media platforms.
The campaign paired Cleveland-based Black physicians and medical experts with influential radio personalities to deliver credible, culturally relevant health content focused on conditions that disproportionately affect Black Americans. By combining medical expertise with trusted community voices, the program created authentic conversations that resonated with the target audience.
This multi-platform approach ensured audiences encountered consistent health messaging across the channels they use every day.
The Black Health 365 initiative successfully translated awareness into action, driving thousands of healthcare appointments while generating significant audience engagement across digital and broadcast platforms.
By combining trusted community voices, culturally relevant storytelling, and a fully integrated media strategy, Black Health 365 helped connect thousands of individuals with healthcare resources and preventive care services. The campaign demonstrates the power of culturally informed media partnerships to drive measurable health outcomes and strengthen community wellness.
